Elmo Rietschle’s G-Series side channel blowers use innovative technology to deliver reliable, contact-free compression for industrial applications. The impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft, ensuring maximum operational reliability and service life, even at high differential pressures.
The gas is taken in through the inlet silencer and accelerated within the side channel by centrifugal force in the rotating impeller blades. Every rotation adds kinetic energy, resulting in increased pressure along the side channel. The gas is then discharged through the outlet silencer, ensuring efficient, quiet operation.
The G-Series motors offer flexible voltage ranges (50/60/87/100 Hz), high protection classes (IP55 and above), and ATEX. How it Works: Side Channel Blowers

The G-Series side channel blowers operate on the principle of contact-free compression. The impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft, ensuring durability and reliability.
As gas enters the side channel, the rotating impeller imparts velocity to the gas, accelerating it outward via centrifugal force. Each rotation adds kinetic energy, increasing pressure along the side channel. The side channel narrows at the rotor, sweeping the gas off the impeller blades and discharging it through the outlet silencer.
Double and triple-stage models build upon this design, compressing the gas across multiple stages for higher pressure ratios and enhanced performance. Cooling systems ensure consistent operation even under demanding conditions.
